New Delhi : A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Inspr. Bhagwati Prasad, Insp. Puran Pant comprising of Inspr. V.N.Pathak, Insp. Kuldeep Yadav, SI Vijender, SI Kulvir, SI Anukul, SI Vikas, SI Parveen, ASI Pawan, SI Sanjeev, ASI Ramdhari, HC Sonu, HC Virender, HC Devender, HC Guruvender, HC Satish, HC Laxman Parsad, HC Girdhar, HC Rajesh, HC Vipin HC Akshay,Ct. Amit, Ct. Dilbag and others, under the supervision of ACP Sh. Jasbir Singh, has arrested five desperate criminals namely (1) Mohd. Danish (mastermind of the conspiracy) R/O Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi , aged 37 years,(2)Soiab Sidduque r/o Pappu Colony, Seemapuri, Delhi, age-26 yrs. (3) Sarafat Ali r/o Noor-A- Elaine, Delhi-53, aged-35yrs. (4)Sonu @ Banadik r/o Ajit Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Delhi, aged-32 yrs. (5) Satender Kumar Delhi @ Rocky r/o East Babarpur, Shahdara, Delhi, age- 30 yrs, after a brief exchange of fire. All accused persons got bullet injuries in their leg while attempting to run away after firing at police team. The police team had a narrow escape as bullets fired by the criminals hit the BP Jacket of Inspr. Puran Pant & HC Sonu but both were saved as they were wearing bullet proof jackets and one bullet fired by the criminals hit the right shoulder of one SI, thereby injuring him. Five semi-automatic pistols along with 9 live and 10 fired cartridges & One Honda City Car No. DL 10 CQ-1347 & Santro Car No. DL 7 CR-4627 have also recovered from their possession.
INCIDENT:
On 08.07.2021 at about 9.15 P.M. some assailants indiscriminately fired upon one Naeem Ahmed r/o Peer Baba Hindu Rao, Delhi, his niece Mohd. Munib and their guard Prakash Yadav on a crowded and running road with the densely populated area, which resulted in the killing of two persons in the crowd. In this regard, a case was registered vide FIR No. 191/2021 dated 09.07.2021 u/s 302/307/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act PS Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi. This incident had occurred in broad public view and at a crowded place. It had caused high public unrest as the perpetrators had openly challenged the law of land, hence their apprehension was imminent besides securing the life of targets who had lucky escape in this incident.
OPERATION:-
For identification and apprehension of criminals involved in the sensational double murder case of PS Bara Hindu Rao, a team of Special Cell/ NR was roped in. With help of local enquiries and technical analysis the identity of the criminals involved in the incident was ascertained and information with respect to their movements was regularly being gathered by way of manual sources, technical surveillance and ground work. The team watched number of their identified/suspected hideouts in Delhi NCR, & UP West since the registration of this case. A dedicated team was also despatched out-station in UP to identify possible hideouts of the criminals. The team traced their movements from UP Border to Delhi but the criminals narrowly slipped away from the clutches of the team. It was very difficult to keep a constant eye on them as they frequently kept on changing their mobile numbers as well as hideouts to avoid their arrest. But the team did not lose the patience and kept on working after him.
Eventually, the sincere and dedicated efforts of the team bore fruitful results when the team was able to extract the actual and specific information on 11.07.2020 that some accused persons involved in above mentioned incident will assemble about 10.00 PM near Shamshan Ghat, Wazirabad Road to eliminate their target, who escaped their deadly attack of 8 July. On this information, the teams were mobilized and despite tirelessly working day and night since the date of incident, the team straightway rushed the place of information and took strategic position near Shamshan Ghat, Wazirabad Road and laid a trap immediately. At about 11.10 PM, two vehicles of these criminals, one Honda City bearing registration No. DL 10 CQ 1347 &one Santro car No. DL-10CQ-1347 was spotted near Shamshan Ghat, Wazirabad Road which were coming from Signature Bridge side. They were stopped at a lonely stretch at the roadside about 200 meters away from Shamshan Ghat, which was having dense bushes and trees on three sides. The team immediately swung into action and the criminals were asked to surrender. In spite of the warning, they whipped out their weapons and fired more than 20 rounds aiming towards the police team and tried to flee from the spot. In this firing one round fired by accused persons hit the BP Jacket of Inspr. Puran Pant and two rounds fired by them, hit BP Jacket of HC Sonu, but both were luckily saved. One of the bullets fired by the accused persons hit the right shoulder of one SI also, who got injured. In self-defense, police team also fired 14 rounds displaying restraint and aiming at lower body part so as to prevent the criminals from escaping. The criminals kept on firing to make their way to escape the police dragnet. In cross firing, all the five accused persons sustained bullet injuries in their legs and they all were overpowered after a brief scuffle and all were then successfully apprehended. All the injured were immediately rushed to hospital for treatment.
In this regard, a case vide FIR No.-187/2021, dated 12.07.2021, u/s 186/353/307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act, PS Special Cell, Delhi was got registered and investigation taken up.
INTERROGATION
During interrogation, accused persons disclosed that Danish and Firoz had grudge with Munib for some property disputes, and to settle their personal scores with their rivals they had approached Sohail and others for going to Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi to eliminate their target. For the same, they all and their other associates armed with weapons reached at Bara Hindu Rao area, near DCM Chowk in a preplanned manner to eliminate Munib. One of their accomplices Rahul @ Charlie was asked to see whether the target is present at the Hospital building. He was also assigned to stop the car after confirming his presence. As the target moved by car, Rahul blocked car at DCM Chowk, where target and passerby surrounded him (Rahul) and they started thrashing him. On this, his accomplices rushed to rescue him and used firearms as per their plan to target Munib. After firing several rounds, they all fled away from the spot.
CRIMINAL PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS
1. Mohd. Danish (Age 37 years) r/o Mohalla Shaqun 25/7934, Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi. He studied up to 5th standard. He presently works as a Pvt. builder. He is the mastermind behind the plot which resulted in killing of innocent public persons at Bara Hindu Rao.
2. Soiab Sidduque (age-26 yrs) r/o Pappu Colony, Seemapuri, Delhi. He studied up to 6th standard only. He is previously involved in a case u/s 308 IPC at PS- Krishana Nagar, Delhi in the year 2016.
3. Sarafat Ali (aged-35 yrs.) r/o Noor-A- Elaine, Delhi-53. He studied up to 5th standard only. He is working as Kabadi. He is previously involved in a case u/s 376 IPC registered at PS Usmanpur, Delhi.
4. Sonu @ Banadik (aged-32 yrs.) r/o Ajit Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. He studied upto 7th standard. He presently works as a bouncer Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi.
5. Satender Kumar Delhi @ Rocky (age- 30 yrs) r/o East Babarpur, Shahdara, Delhi. He studied upto 10th standard. He is found previously involved in case of cheating and excise act registered in Noida, UP.
Efforts are afoot to apprehend the remaining culprits.
