Pistols, 02 Country made gun, 07 extra magazines, 80 cartridges of 7.65 MM and 04
cartridges of .315 bore at the instance of Mohd. Shariq, kingpin of Shariq Chaudhary
gang operating from UP prison.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED:-
Mohd. Shariq r/o Meerut, UP aged 47 years. Presently he is lodged in Sitapur, UP jail in several murder cases of UP and running his gang from inside the prison. Accused Mohd. Shariq was born in the year 1973 in Meerut, UP. He studied up to 5 th class. He started committing crime in 1996. He along with his associates committed murder of one flower seller in the area of PS Kotwali, Meerut, UP and absconded. After that he murdered one Pradhan of Gurjar community in the year 1998. He again murdered one Rajesh in Meerut, UP in the year 2004. In 2014, he was involved in a gangwar/shootout with Arif gang in which total 5-6 persons were injured. In 2015, he was arrested by Special Cell, Delhi Police and 920 cartridges were recovered from his possession. In 2016, he again murdered one transgender (Kinnar) namely Shamshad and he was arrested in this case in the year 2017 and is still running in J/C in this case. On his directions Arif (Councillor of Meerut) was murdered by hisassociates in the year 2017.
He also murdered one Anishu @ Pandit, an associate of dreaded gangster Jitender @ Gogi of Delhi in February 2017. He is continuously involved in many murders of Meerut, UP from jail. His family members including brothers namely Tariq, Raju, Fahiq & Rashid, his son Tabis, his cousin brothers Shakib, Kasib @ Cheeta, Mohsin & Chotta are also lodged in Meerut/Firozabad jail. Now his gang have 9-10 new members and were planning to eliminate Salman, relative of Arif (Councillor) who was already murdered by him, who is lodged in Dasna jail who is the only active member of his rival gang i.e. Arif gang.

OPERATION:-
During investigation of case FIR No. 27/20, dated 01.02.2020, u/s
307/186/353 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Timarpur, New Delhi, the dedicated team
of Special Staff North District has arrested a notorious arms supplier Waseem r/o
Meerut, UP aged 27 years on 01.02.20 and recovered 09 Pistols, 01 Country made
pistol, 09 extra magazines, 118 cartridges of 7.65 MM and 10 cartridges of .315
bore and one Brezza Car were recovered from hidden compartments of Brezza
Car from his possession.
On custodial interrogation accused has disclosed that he has obtained these
illegal arms and ammunitions from Mohd. Shariq, leader of Shariq Chaudhary gang
of Meerut, UP who is presently lodged in Sitapur Jail of UP. Subsequently Mohd.
Shariq was interrogated and formally arrested by the team of Special Staff North on
17.03.2020 at Tis Hazari Courts, and his 04 days police custody remand was
obtained.
Accordingly, a team of Special Staff, North District comprising SI Hansa
Ram, ASI Yashpal, ASI Harphool, HC Deepak Tyagi, HC Atul, HC Manjeet, Ct Satbir,
Ct Balkesh and Ct Vicky led by Inspector Sunil Kumar under the supervision of Sh.
Jaipal Singh, ACP/Operation Cell, North District was constituted for further
investigation/interrogation of the accused.
He was interrogated thoroughly and he revealed that he was earlier arrested
by Special Cell, Delhi Police during 2015 and huge quantity of ammunitions was
recovered from him. While he was lodged in Tihar jail, he came in contact with one
notorious gangster namely Shakti Naidu. Shakti Naidu asked Shariq to provide arms
and ammunitions for his gang. He procured illegal arms and ammunitions from one
Sameer @ Mendak of Meerut, UP for supply to Shakti Naidu. On further
interrogation, he revealed that on 01.02.2020, 20 pistols with 200 cartridges were
sent to Delhi through his two gang members in two different vehicles. One Brezza
car driven by Waseem which was seized by Special Staff, North and 09 Pistols, 01
Country made pistol, 09 extra magazines, 118 cartridges of 7.65 MM and 10
cartridges of .315 bore were recovered from hidden compartments of Brezza
Car from his possession. The other car was driven by one Sartaj who escaped from
there and abandoned his car near Baba Ramdevji Maharaj Mandir, Majnu Ka Tilla
and fled away from the spot.
On 20.03.2020, the abandoned car was recovered at the instance of accused
Mohd. Shariq from near Baba Ramdevji Maharaj Mandir, Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi. On
search of the car it was found that the car has been modified and special
arrangements were made i.e. hidden compartment in dicky and below the
dashboard inside the blower of AC, where ammunitions can be hidden and
transported to various parts of Delhi without being detected. Total 08 Pistols, 02
Country made guns, 07 extra magazines, 80 cartridges of 7.65 MM and
04 cartridges of .315 bore were recovered from these hidden
compartments. Accordingly, these illegal arms and ammunitions were seized in
FIR No. 27/20, dated 01.02.2020, u/s 307/186/353 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS
Timarpur, New Delhi.
Further investigation is in progress to arrest the supplier. Staff involved in
good work is being rewarded suitably.
