New Delhi : In view of Covid-19 and to implement the lockdown measures, Picking was done at Madhu Vihar red light near Singla Sweets. Insp. C.P. Bhardwaj alongwith PSI Vineet Malik, Ct Harbir and Civil Defence Warden Irshad Ali were diligently checking the vehicles in the area. At about 9:30 PM HC Rahman, also reached the picket and started checking alongwith the staff there.
At about 10:10 PM, HC Rahman saw one Scooty Activa Honda Golden Colour coming from the wrong carriage way from the Karkari Mor side. HC Rahman signaled the Scooty to stop for checking. On seeing the police, the person riding on scooty tried to take a U turn from the spot, but HC Rahman with the help of other staff managed to stop the Scooty. During his personal search, a country-made pistol with 02 live cartridges were recovered. The person was identified as Jai Prakash @ Jai R/o Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 144/2020 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered and investigation was taken up .
TEAM/INTERROGATION:
A team consisting of Insp. C.P. Bhardwaj, SI Nasir Abbas , HC Rahman No 386/E was constituted to interrogate the accused under the supervision of Inspr. Rajiv Kumar SHO/Madhu Vihar and under the close supervision of Sh Vijay Kumar ACP/Madhu Vihar.
Accused was interrogated at a length. During interrogation, he disclosed that he was involved in many cases including a case of murder of a person in 2013. On 20.03.20 he fired upon a person in the area of PS Gandhi Nagar and he wanted in that case.
RECOVERY:
- One country made pistol with 02 live cartridges.
- One Scooty.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED:
Jai Prakash @ Jai, Age-36 yrs R/o Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. He studied up to 5th class. He works as tailor at a Garment stitching unit at Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. Further investigation is on.
