DESPERATE, NOTORIOUS & ACTIVE ROBBER/EXTORTIONIST ARRESTED

 New Delhi : On 17/08/19, one complainant R/o Delhi reported SHO/Nangloi that while he was riding E-Rikshaw & going to Kirari Prem Nagar from Nangloi Metro Station suddenly stopped by one Safiq Ahmad  when reached near Railway crossing Kirari Road. Further 02 other person reached at the spot and started beating him on the behest of not paying money to Safiq Ahmad at Prem Nagar.  Further complainant stated that they also robbed his money and one Samsung mobile phone at the knife point.  Accordingly on the statement of the complainant SHO/Nangloi immediately registered a case vide FIR No. 481/19 dated 17.08.19 U/s 394/34 IPC at P.S. Nangloi and started the investigation.

TEAM CONSTITUTED

Considering the sensitivity of the case, a dedicated team comprising of SI Sunil, ASI Rajender, ASI Bir Singh, HC Kapil, Ct Ashish & Ct. Balram were constituted under the close supervision of Inspr. V.N. Jha, SHO/Nangloi and close monitoring of Sh. Subhash Vats, ACP/Nangloi to arrest the accused at the earliest.

OPERATION

Accordingly, the police team started searching of the accused and laid a trap along with complainant at Kirari Road near Metro Station Nangloi to nab the accused. At about 03:00 PM, accused Safiq was seen approaching towards metro station and on the signal of the complainant Accused Safiq Ahmad turned back and tried to flee.  But alert police team apprehended him after a brief chase.  During his personal search 01 surgical blade, robbed money and snatched black mobile phone were recovered on the spot and the accused was arrested.

INTERROGATION

During sustain interrogation Safiq Ahmad admit that he is used to extort money for his livelihood and lavish lifestyle.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED

1. Safiq Ahmad R/o J.J. Colony, Nangloi, Delhi (Age 28 years). He is a criminal and extort money for this livelihood.
