BRIEF FACTS
In view to curb the incidents of Snatching/Burglary and Theft Cases in the area of PS Mandawali, a special team consisting of HC Om Singh, HC Sachin Singh, HC Ajay, HC Yogesh and Ct. Deepak was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Prashant Kumar, SHO/Mandawali Delhi.
Special checking drives were done for this purpose and on 26.07.2019 at about 09.30 PM the team was present in the Mandawali area for this task. One boy riding on a scooty was seen coming from the side of Railway Colony near Railway Underpass. On seeing police, he tried to flee away but was caught by police team. He was asked to produce the papers of the vehicle but did not give satisfactory reply. He was identified as Waseem r/o Mandawali Delhi age 23 years. Scooty was found to be stolen from the area of PS Mandawali. He disclosed that he committed theft of that scooty from Railway Colony Mandawali along with his associate namely Sudhanshu. He also disclosed that he was involved in various incidents of theft along with Sudhanshu. Later on 27.09.2019 his associate namely Sudhanshu Singh r/o Mandawali Delhi Age 21 years was also arrested and three more stolen scooty and one stolen motorcycle was also recovered at their instance.
INTERROGATION/MODUS OPERANDI
During sustained interrogation, Waseem and Sudhanshu disclosed that from childhood they fell in bad company and to fulfill their expenses they started to commit petty thefts and later on they also started to commit Auto lifting. The removed the battery of vehicle and direct connected the wires and hence they did not need the key to start the vehicle. They hid stolen vehicles in the locality and sold them to a suitable customer at a cheap price.
PROFILES OF ACCUSED PERSONS ARRESTED
1. Waseem r/o Mandawali Delhi Age- 23 Yrs. He studied upto 9th class. He is previously involved in 31 cases.
2. Sudhanshu Singh r/o Mandawali Delhi Age-21 Yrs. He studied upto 9th class.
