A team of Special Cell/SR led by Insp. Ishwar Singh, under the supervision of Sh. Attar Singh, ACP/Special Cell/SR has arrested a person namely Imran (29 yrs) S/o Jaan Alam R/o H. No. 570, 100 Feet Road, Asarfia Masjid Ghaziabad (UP) today morning at about 6 am on 12/06/2019 near Loni roundabout Wazirabad Road. Arrested Imran was having a reward of Rs 25000/- upon information leading to his arrest in a cow slaughtering case pertaining to PS Harsh Vihar, Delhi.
DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION
On the day of Holi this year i.e. on 21/03/2019 in the early morning, local residents of Harsh Vihar had noticed that some body parts of a slaughtered cow and an animal fetus were lying near the boundary wall of Arora Farms, Harsh Vihar. Gradually, people gathered there and they were highly provoked on seeing the scene. Apparently, this act of cow slaughtering and spreading of its body parts was intended to arouse feelings of majority community to disturb communal harmony and to spread the hatred among Hindus-Muslims in the area to provoke communal riots and creating serious law and order problem in the National Capital on the day of Holi Festival. People of majority community had gathered on the roads and had held demonstration to protest cow slaughter, but timely and swift action by local police helped in easing the situation. Police talked with respectable and elders of both communities and took them into confidence, which helped in controlling the situation going from bad to worse. A case under 429/432/153-A IPC & 11L of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act& Sec. 4 Delhi Aggricultural Cattle Preservation Act was registered at P. S. Harsh Vihar in North-East Delhi and investigation was taken up.
During investigation, three persons namely Parvej, Lukman and Insallahamhave were arrested by local police, but Imran went underground after the arrest of his associates and evaded his arrest. Arrested persons had disclosed that in the wee hours of 21.03.2019, they along with Imran had slaughtered a cow in the area of PS Harsh Vihar and they had mischievously thrown body parts of cow in the area. A reward of Rs. 25,000/- was announced by Delhi Police upon information leading to arrest of Imran.
TEAM & OPERATION
In order to nab Imran, a team led by Insp. Ishwar Singh consisting of SI Aditya Malik, Ct. Deepak, Ct. Sachin and Ct. Imran was constituted. Team had put in all out and strenuous efforts and identified various hideouts of Imran in Delhi and Uttrakhand. On 11.06.2019, a specific information was received that accused Imran has been hiding himself somewhere in Uttrakhand and he would come to meet his family members near Loni roundabout in the early hours of 12.06.2019. Accordingly, a trap was laid and Imran was arrested near Loni roundabout.
