New Delhi : With the arrest of 1. Vakeel r/o Badaun, UP aged 32 years, 2.Parvesh @ Mundari R/O Sonia Vihar, Delhi Aged 26 years, 3. Mithlesh @ Ganjedi R/O Kotha No. 52, JB Road Delhi, Permanent Add. Distt. Madhepur, Bihar) aged 22 years, the local police of Mandir marg solved a roadside robbery committed on Panchkuia Road, near LHMC Hospital, ND on the intervening night of 15-16/06/19. The Victim was choked from behind before being robbed of his mobile phone. Another mobile phone robbed in the same fashion from the jurisdiction of PS Nabi Karim has also
been recovered from their possession. The TSR used in the commission of the crime has also been recovered.

Arrested crimnals of “Gala Ghotu Gang”
On the intervening night of 15-16/06/19 at about 9:30 PM, ASI Rajbir of PS Mandir Marg, patrolling on foot near gate no. 6 of Lady Harding Medical College noticed a boy shouting for help who approached the ASI and informed that three persons in an auto rickshaw robbed him of his mobile phone and fled away towards Nehru Chowk. ASI Rajbir immediately responded and took the complainant in another auto-rickshaw to chase the robbers. After a brief chase, the said auto-rickshaw No. DL-1RZ-1739 identified by the complainant was intercepted at Nehru chowk red light. The robber at the driving seat of the TSR above identified as Vakeel r/o Badaun, UP was apprehended whereas the other two managed to escape alongwith the robbed mobile phone and their identity was revealed as Parvesh and Ganjedi. Complainant r/o Sahjimal Telipeda, Aligarh UP stated that he was going to visit his ailing relative at Kalawati hospital and when he was on Panchkuia Road, two persons got down from an auto rickshaw near him and one of them choked him from behind with the elbow and another person put a cloth in his mouth and forcibly robbed his mobile Samsung galaxy J-2. Both of them and escaped in the same auto rickshaw. On his statement a case of robbery was registered vide FIR No. 60/19 U/s 392/34

The investigation was taken up under the supervision of Sh. Akhileshwar Yadav, ACP/Connaught Place and a team comprising of Insp Vikramjit Singh, SHO/Mandir Marg, Inspr Inv Sh. Ashok Giri, SI
Dharmander, ASI Rajbir and Ct. Sachin was constituted.
INVESTIGATION
During the investigation, accused Wakil was subjected to sustained interrogation during which the identity of other two robbers was revealed as Ganjeri @ Mitilesh and Mundari @ Parvesh as above. Besides, another mobile phone VIVO was also found in the possession of accused Vakeel. Further verification revealed that the said mobile was also robbed in similar fashion from Pul Paharganj in the area of PS Nabi Karim. The accused further revealed that the TSR belongs to his relative which was being used by him alongwith his associates in commission of the crime. Further, in order to avoid any suspicion, he is wearing uniform of TSR driver. Immediate raids were conducted at the possible hideouts of the absconding accused and after painstaking efforts, both of them were
apprehended from their hideout in Ajmeri Gate. The robbed mobile phone of the complainant was also recovered.
RECOVERY
1. The robbed Samsung mobile phone of complainant was recovered from the possession of accused Mithilesh and Parvesh
2. VIVO Mobile phone robbed in the evening on 15.6.19 from the area of PS Nabi Karim in Central District was also recovered.
3. TSR No. DL-1RZ-1739 used in the commission of crime was also recovered.

1. Vakeel r/o Badaun, UP is 32 years old. He is illiterate and is staying as a vagabond at Ajmeri Gate. He shifted from Mumbai two years back where he used to work as vegetable vendor.
2. Parvesh @ Mundari r/o Sonia Vihar, Delhi is 26 years old. He is illiterate. He is pimp at GB Road.
3. Mithlesh @ Ganjedi r/o Kotha No. 52, JB Road Delhi, Permanent Add. Distt. Madhepur, Bihar) is 22 years old an illiterate, working as a pimp at GB Road.
