TWO INTER STATE MODULES OF ILLEGAL ARMS/AMMUNITION TRAFFICKERS OPERATING IN WESTERN UP, HARYANA, RAJASTHAN, MADHYA PRADESH & NCR UNEARTHED
The first module was busted on 29/04/2019 by a team of Special Cell/NDR led by Inspector Ravinder Kumar Tyagi and Inspector Ajay Kumar under the close supervision of ACP Lalit Mohan Negi and ACP Hridaya Bhushan of Special Cell/NDR by arresting two inter-state illegal arms traffickers namely (1) Bachchu Singh aged 55 years r/o village- Vijaygarh P.S. Gonda District- Aligarh UP and (2) Ajay Salve aged 35 years r/o village Bamnala P.S. Bhikangaon District Khargone MP alongwith 35 semi automatic illegal pistols of .32 bore calibre and 60 live cartridges of .32 bore calibre from near T-point Mathura Road/Nizamuddin railway station link road, New Delhi. Accused Bachchu Singh has previously been involved in many cases of running illegal arms factory, attempt to murder, arms Act etc. various police stations of district Aligarh UP and Bhikangaon district Khargone MP. He has been into illegal arms trafficking for over 15 years and has supplied hundreds of illegal arms/ammunitions to criminals of Western UP and Delhi/NCR.
Another module was busted by a team led by Inspector Ishwar Singh under the supervision of Shri Attar Singh, ACP/Special Cell/SR by arresting two notorious arms suppliers namely (1) Ranjit Singh @ Neetu Jaat (aged 25 years) R/o Mohalla Kayast Para, P.S. Nihal Ganj, Dhaulpur (Rajasthan) on the intervening night of April 28/29 near Bus Stand ISBT, Sarai Kale Khan, Ring Road, New Delhi alongwith 20 pistols, of which 4 are semi-automatic & 16 are single shot pistols and (2) Nakshe Lal (aged 21 years) R/o Sajhajipur, PS Karyal, Mainpuri (UP) on 01.05.2019 from Mainpuri (UP) alongwith 8 single shot pistols, one semi automatic pistol & 1 small Gun and a magazine. This gang used to sell weapons to various gangs and local criminals of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi & Rajasthan.
1st OPERATION
Considering the gravity of inputs so received in the light of the forthcoming Parliament elections in Delhi and its neighboring States, special focus is being kept on all such goons operating in Delhi NCR. Consequently in the last week of April 2019, an information was received by the team of Inspector Ravinder Kumar Tyagi and Inspector Ajay Kumar that a notorious illegal arms/ammunition suppliers namely Bachchu Singh of Aligarh UP is selling illegal/arms ammunition to criminals in Delhi/NCR. Accordingly the sources were deployed in Delhi/NCR & Aligarh UP to apprehend him. On the basis of specific information on 29/04/2019, the above named Bachchu Singh alongwith associate Ajay Salve was apprehended in the late evening near T-point Mathura Road/Nizamuddin railway station link road, New Delhi alongwith 35 pistols of .32 bore calibre and 60 live.
Accused Bachchu Singh was found released from Khargone jail, Madhya Pradesh in November 2018 but still continuing with his illegal activities. He was found involved in over 7 heinous cases in UP and Madhya Pradesh. During investigation it is also revealed that accused Bachchu Singh alongwith his associates had opened his own illegal arms factory at his farm in the village and his factories were busted twice by the local police with huge recovery of illegal firearms. Thereafter, he started procuring illegal firearms from Khargone and other places in Madhya Pradesh to supply in local areas as well as Western UP and Delhi/NCR. He has come over dozens of times to Delhi/NCR and delivered hundreds of illegal weapons/ammunitions to receivers.
Accused Ajay Salve was his carrier who used to charge per pistol to be transported from village Selda, Satvada, Sakherkhedi, Sighnoor of Bhikangaon, District Khargaon MP to desired places as told by accused Bachchu Singh. He has come twice in Delhi alongwith accused Bachchu Singh for delivery of illegal firearms/ammunitions.
2nd OPERATION
In an another operation, the Southern Range of Special Cell, New Delhi had received an information that a gang of gun-runners involved in manufacturing and supplying of firearms, including pistols, magazines and ammunitions is active in MP, UP, Delhi, Haryana & Rajasthan. The secret information was further developed which revealed that one Neetu Jaat, who hails from District Dhaulpur (Rajasthan), emerges as one of the major supplier of these firearms in North India and he is actively involved in supplying of weapons to various criminals and local goons of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan & NCR.
Accordingly a special team headed by Inspr. Ishwar Singh under the close supervision of Sh. Attar Singh, ACP/Special Cell/SR made painstaking efforts for more than 2 months resulted in identifying of a few members of racket. On the basis of specific information, on the intervening night of April 28/29, this team apprehended a gun-runner namely Neetu Jaat of District Dhaulpur (Rajasthan) from ISBT Sarai Kale Khan, Ring Road alongwith 20 pistols of which 4 are semi automatic & 16 are single shot.
On the basis of interrogation of accused Neetu Jaat, one of his main source of supply of firearms in this case namely Nakshe Lal above was arrested on 01.05.19 from near Mainpuri Bus Terminal in UP and 9 pistols of which 1 is semi automatic & 8 are single shot & 1-small gun were recovered from him.
Accused Ranjit Singh @ Neetu Jaat was found involved in supplying of illegal firearms for the last about 5 years. He used to procure these fire arms from an MP based gunrunner of Khargone and from a gun-runner of District Mainpuri (UP). He further disclosed that after collecting the firearms from above duo, he used to further supply the same in various parts of North India, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan. Neetu also disclosed that 2 days earlier, he had collected the above consignment of firearms from a contact of Khargone (MP) based gunrunner and had come to Delhi to deliver these firearms to his Delhi based counterparts.
Accused Neetu Jaat is not only an active gunrunner but also a desperate and dreaded criminal of Dhaulpur (Rajasthan) and is involved in many cases of attempt to murder, assault/hurt, arms act, threat etc there.
Accused Nakshe Lal is involved in supplying firearms & ammunition for last 2 years. He supplies pistols, rifles, ammunitions to his counterparts in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana & NCR. He used to procure these firearms from District Khargone (MP) and also from local gun-runners of Etah and Mainpuri (UP).
During investigation it is revealed that these accused persons used to purchase illegal pistols & cartridges and sell it at higher prices.
In its tirade against firearms suppliers, Special Cell has busted 6 syndicates of gun runners this year and has recovered 262 semi automatic pistols, 35 single shot pistols, 1 revolver, 12 spare magazines and 244 live cartridges.
Further investigation is on to identify all the forward and backward linkages of this farms/ammunition network.
