- ON 07.05.19, ACCUSED ASHISH @ ASIF AND HIS TWO ASSOCIATES – LUCKY AND SHYAM – WERE RETURNING ON A STOLEN BULLET M/CYCLE AFTER SELLING ANOTHER STOLEN BULLET M/CYCLE IN KANNAUJ (UP). AT MONGOL PURI, THEIR BULLET M/CYCLE MET WITH AN ACCIDENT WHILE ASHISH AND LUCKY GOT INJURIES, SHYAM DIED ON THE SPOT.
- ASHISH @ ASIF GOT ADMITTED IN HOSPITAL WITH FAKE NAME AND DISAPPEARED AFTER DISCHARGE FROM HOSPITAL. HE WAS TRACED AND WHEN APPREHENDED, FOUND TO BE IN POSSESSION OF A LOADED COUNTRY MADE PISTOL.
INTRODUCTION
The sleuths of AATS/Dwarka District have arrested a desperate criminal, having involvements in two murder cases registered in District Kannauj (UP). He was arrested in these cases and was in jail since April 2014. After release on bail from Kannauj Jail in January 2019, accused Ashish @ Asif S/o Suresh R/o Kashmiri Colony, Near Paprawat Road, Najafgarh, Delhi, Age-27 years was desperately in need of money to pursue his cases. He regrouped with his old associates and took to robbery and motor vehicle thefts.
On 07.05.19, accused Ashish @ Asif, along with his associates Lucky and Shyam, while returning on a stolen Bullet M/Cycle after selling another stolen Bullet M/cycle in Kannauj, (UP), met with an accident at Mongol Puri, Delhi. Whereas, Shyam died on the spot, Ashish and Lucky got injuries and
were admitted to different hospitals. Both got themselves discharged from hospitals and disappeared. During investigation, this Bullet M/Cycle was found to be stolen vide eFIR No. 015277 dated 02.05.2019 u/s 379 IPC PS ePolice Station (area of PS Mohan Garden).
A search for Ashish @ Asif and Lucky was launched. On 19.05.19, Ashish @ Asif was apprehended by the staff of AATS/DWD. On interrogation, Ashish @ Asif disclosed about his previous criminal involvements. He also disclosed to have procured a Country Made Pistol, which was used in commission of crimes. The illegal country made pistol recovered from him was checked and found to be loaded with one live rouned.
As he was found in possession of arms, accordingly, a case FIR No. 191/19, dated 19.05.19 u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Chhawla, Delhi.
INFORMATION & OPERATION
On 19.05.19, an information was received from a secret informer at AATS/Dwarka District that one criminal involved in several crimes like MV thefts, robbery and murders is in possession of an illegal weapon and is present at his home. He can be apprehended if raid is conducted.
On this information, a team of police officers led by Insp Ram Kishan, Officer-in-charge AATS/Dwarka District, comprising SI Dharmendra, SI Roshan Lal, ASI Vinod, HC Jai Bhagwan, Ct Amit, Ct Arjun, Ct Ashok and Ct Rajbir under the close supervision of Sh. Rajinder Singh, ACP Operations/Dwarka immediately swung into action and without wasting any time, accused Ashish @ Asif S/O Suresh R/O Kashmiri Colony, Near Paprawat Road, Najafgarh, Delhi, Age – 27 years was apprehended from his home. One illegal loaded country made pistol with one live round was recovered from him.
