Today, on the occasion of International Elders Day, a function under the title “AASHIRVAD”, has been celebrated by Outer-North District, in association with 24×7 Care Foundation in the Auditorium of Delhi Technological University, at Shahbad Daulatpur, Delhi. Officers of Outer North District, all SDPOs and SHOs were present in the function.
This function was dedicated to the security, safety and health of the elders. Keeping in mind the most common disease Parkinson which affects the Senior Citizens, a senior Neuron Surgeon, Sh. Anibarn Deep Banergee was invited from Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, Haryana in this function especially. The neuron Surgeon talking on the Parkinson disease and its treatment gave advises to the senior citizens. A pantomime show having a message of safety of senior citizens was organised. Besides, Laughter Yoga session was also there.
Senior citizens present in the function shared their experiences and views. All were briefed about “Tatpar” app of Delhi Police and a demo of the same was also given and more than 200 persons downloaded the app in their mobile phones.
