2 OCT : TWO NOTORIOUS ARMED ROBBERS-CUM-SNATCHERS AND ABSENT BC‘S ARRESTED

• ACCUSED USED TO TARGET SENIOR CITIZENS AND LADIES AS THEY ARE SOFT TARGETS AND LESS POSSSIBILITY OF BEING CAUGHT.
• ONE LOADED COUNTRY MADE PISTOL ALONG WITH ONE LIVE CARTRIDGE, ONE BUTTONED KNIFE, 08 STOLEN/SNATCHED MOBILE PHONES AND ONE STOLEN MOTORCYCLE WERE RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION

 INTRODUCTION:

The team of Special Staff/ South West District has arrested two despreate armed robbers-cum-snatchers and absent BC’s of P.S. Palam Village namely Sanjeev Saini @ Sanju Saini r/o  Palam Colony, New Delhi, age 26 years and Sunil Chaudhary @ Karan Chaudhary r/o Palam Village, New Delhi, aged 27 years. With their arrest one loaded country made pistol along with one live cartridge, one buttoned knife, 08 stolen/ snatched mobile phones and one stolen motorcycle were also recovered from their possession.

 INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION

In view of directions of senior officers to verify jail bail release criminals and to trace out absent BC’s of the jurisdiction of South West District, a dedicated team of Special Staff comprising of SI Mukesh, SI Shikshit, HC Amit, HC Balram, HC Satyapal, Ct Akhelesh, Ct. Jagparvesh, Ct. Nandkishor, Ct Sandeep, Ct Vijaypal, Ct Shyam and Ct Sandeep Kumar was constituted under the supervision of Insp. Dinesh Kumar, Insp. Special Staff/SWD and overall supervision of Sh. Chander Prakash, ACP Operations South West District.

The team worked relentlessly and got a tip off about two desperate robbers cum snatchers, who are also absent BC’s of P.S. Palam Village. Acting on the tip off, a trap was laid to nab the accused persons near expected place of arrival i.e Jai Hind Camp, DDA Ground, Masoodpur, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. After some time two suspect persons spotted, on a stolen motorcycle bearing registration no. DL-9SBB-7170 were asked to stop for checking but instead following the directions of the team, they tried to sped away. The team immediately swung into action and successfully arrested both the accused persons later identified as Sunil Chaudhary @ Karan Chaudhary s/o Gopal Chaudhary r/o WZ-464, Palam Village, New Delhi, aged 27 years and Sanjeev Saini @ Sanju Saini s/o Satpal Saini r/o RZ-229, Gali No. 5, Sadh Nagar, Palam Colony, New Delhi, age 26 years after a brief chase. During the cursory frisking of accused Sunil Chaudhary @ Karan Chaudhary, one loaded country made pistol and one extra live cartridge and one buttoned knife was recovered from the possession of accused Sanjeev Saini @ Sanju Saini. Accordingly a case vide FIR No.569/19 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at P.S. Vasant Kunj South.

During sustained interrogation they confess their involvement in several case of theft and snatching reported in the area of South West District. They further disclosed that they met in Tihar jail and decided to work together in future. They used to target senior citizen and ladies, so that they could easily commit crime without much resistance. Whenever they used to commit crime, they always stay armed to evade arrest. Later at their instance 08 stolen/snatched mobile phones were also recovered.

1. Accused Sunil Chaudhary @ Karan Chaudhary r/o Palam Village, New Delhi, aged 27 years is school dropout and absent BC of PC Palam Village. He is previously found involved in 34 cases of theft, snatching and robbery.

2. Accused Sanjeev Saini @ Sanju Saini r/o Palam Colony, New Delhi, age 26 years has studied upto 12^th class is also an absent BC of PS Palam area. He is previously found involved in 16 cases of theft, snatching and robbery.
