A team of Special Cell Southern Range led by Inspector Shiv Kumar under the supervision of Shri Attar Singh, ACP, has arrested two highly dreaded criminals of Nasir gang today on 07.06.2019, at about 4 AM near Pusta Road, near Kali Mata Mandir, Mukhmailpur, Delhi after a brief exchange of fire. Arrested persons are Salman @ Munna (24 years) and Nazim (23 years) both residents of Seelampur, Delhi and most wanted criminals in Delhi. Salman @ Munna was carrying a reward of Rs. 1 Lacs and Nazim was carrying a reward of Rs. 50,000/- from Delhi Police on their arrest. Two semi automatic pistols alongwith 5 live cartridges and one Apache motorcycle were recovered from the duo. During the exchange of fire, total 14 rounds were fired i.e. about 8 rounds by desperados and 6 by members of police team in self defense.

Information In pursuit of constant drive against hardened criminals operating in NCR Delhi, a team of Special Cell/SR was working upon two notorious and elusive criminals Salman and Nazim, both associates of Nasir. Insp. Shiv Kumar had deputed his team to gather information about both the criminals. Discreet and sharp surveillance was kept upon hideouts and associates of both the criminals in various parts of Delhi, UP and Rajasthan. Painstaking efforts of more than two months in this regard resulted in identifying their associates and hideouts in Delhi and UP.
OPERATION
An information was received on 06.06.2019 in Special Cell that two desperate associates of Nasir gang namely Salman @ Munna and Nazim fully armed would come at Pusta road near Kali Mata Mandir, Mukhmailpur, Delhi in the wee hours on an Apache motorcycle to meet one of their contacts and to plan to eliminate one of their rivals. Immediately, a team led by Inspr. Shiv Kumar rushed at the given spot. Salman @ Munna and Nazim riding upon Apache bike were spotted at pusta road T-point (road leading to Mukhmailpur) and they were signaled to stop and surrender. Instead of surrendering, they whipped out their pistols and started indiscriminate firing at the police party. One bullet hit the bullet proof jacket worn by HC Anil Chadha. Members of police team fired in self defence and finally overpowered both the criminals. Salman @ Munna and Nazim fired more than 8 rounds and police fired 6 rounds in self defence. Salman @ Munna got injured in right leg. He was immediately rushed to Babu Jagjiwan Ram hospital where he is out of danger. Two pistols of .32 alongwith 5 live cartridges and an Apache motorcycle were recovered from both the arrested criminals. Case under appropriate sections of law has been registered.
INTERROGATION
Gangaster Gullu
Arrested Salman @ Munna and Nazim have been interrogated. It is revealed in the interrogation that on 01.04.2019, they killed one Hakimuddin from close range when Hakimuddin alongwith his son was returning to his home. They fired 8 bullets at the deceased. Hakimuddin was brother of Rehan @ Gullu who is an associate of Irfan @ Chainu, a notorious criminal. On 05.06.19, both the criminals again killed a 28 years man namely Sarfaraz in the area of Kanti Nagar near Krishna Nagar Delhi. Sarfaraz was suspected by them to be a sympathizer of Gullu and he also used to provide financial and other logistic help to him.
GANG RIVALRY BETWEEN NASIR GANG AND IRFAN @ CHAINU GANG
There is fierce gang rivalry between both the above gangs since last 10 years. More than 35 persons have been killed in this violent rivalry during the given period. Rivalry started in the year 2011, when one Atif was killed by Irfan @ Chainu, Akil Mama, Wasim and Akil Don about 9 years ago. Atif was having an affair with daughter of one of the acquaintance who sought help from Irfan @ Chainu to eliminate Atif. Later on, one Matin Ahmad was killed by Nasir, Imran and other associates. In repercussion of this, members of Irfan @ Chainu gang shot dead Akil Mama and Akil Don in the year 2015. Javed, brother of Akil Mama was also shot dead by rival gang. Qamar, brother of Mumtaz associated with Chainu gang was killed by Nasir gang. In the year 2015, Nasir got Irfan @ Chainu attacked while being produced in Karkarduma court. Members of Nasir gang did indiscriminate firing in the court in which a Delhi Police head constable had died. In October 2017, Wazid was shot dead by Anwar Hatela (Chainu gang). On the same day, Arif (Nasir gang) was shot dead by Anwar Hatela and his associates. Anwar Hatela had also killed 3 members of Nasir gang in Amroha in the year 2017. In the year 2018, Anwar Hatela fired upon a team of Special Cell led by Inspr. Shiv Kumar in Amroha. In exchange of fire, Anwar Hatela got injured in both legs. Same team also arrested dreaded Asif in the year 2018 after a brief exchange of fire. In the year 2018, Riyaz Handa and Rizwan were tasked by Irfan @ Chainu to attack Nasir but both were arrested by the same team of Special Cell. Criminal activities of both the above gang members have been contained after invoking provisions of MCOCA against members of these gangs and this has really helped to contain their violent criminal activities and to curb violence/bloodshed. More than 20 members of both the gangs are cooling their heels behind bars. With the recent arrest of Gullu by the staff of Police Station Jafrabad and today’s arrest of his rivals Salman and Nazim, a major success against activities of criminals of North-East Delhi has been achieved.
