With the arrest of two ‘Blackmailer & Extortionists namely Noor Mazhar @ Aslam (aged 38 years) S/o Rafiuddin R/o F-10/33, Joga Bai Extn., Jamia Nagar, Okhla, New Delhi and Mahender (33 years) S/o Het Ram R/o 24-B, Masigarh Village, Near SukhdevVihar, New Delhi the team of Special Cell (Southern Range) led by Insp. Ishwar Singh under the supervision of Shri Attar Singh, ACP/Special cell/SR has busted a infamous gang involved in extorting money from persons belonging to financially well-settled families by preparing their sex videos. Noor Mazhar @ Aslam was having a reward of Rs. 20,000/- on information leading to his arrest in a case of extortion registered at PS Jamia Nagar. Accused along with his associates including one female had succeeded in alluring 7/8 gullible wealthy persons in honey-trap and extorted money from them after preparing CDs of their intimate moments with their women associate of Aslam in their rented house in Zakir Nagar, Delhi.
Development of Information:
There was information with Insp. Ishwar Singh of Special Cell about extorting money from gullible persons of well-to-do families by the members of this gang by honey-trapping them in South Delhi. There were many such complaints of various victims in the said area. Sources were deployed to develop information about persons, involved in these activities. During this exercise various persons, who fell prey in trap of this gang were identified. In one such case, One practicing doctor of repute, who also served in charitable hospitalswas extorted by the members of this gang. In the month of October 2018, a woman came to one of charitable health centre with some medical problem. She posed that she had come from a gulf country for her treatment. She was medically examined by the victim doctor. She continued frequenting the said health centre and lured the said doctor.. In end of October 2018, she requested him to come to her house to examine her as she was feeling quite unwell. In good faith doctor went to her rented house, where he was served cold drinks laced with libido arousing drug and she allured the doctor to have sex with her.. Video was prepared when the doctor was in compromising position with the said woman. Accused persons had fitted secret cameras in their house to film such gullible persons.
Thereafter, Noor Mazhar@ Aslam made a call to the said victim doctor that they had prepared his video while he was having sex with the said woman. He demanded Rs. 20 Lakhs from him and threatened that if he didn’t pay the money he would sendvideo on social sites and he would also send a copy to his family members. He got upset and he got the FIR registered in this regard.
Operation
Surveillance was kept upon movements/activities of members of this gang by Special Cell. During this exercise, a few members were identified. On a tip-off on 11.04.2019, Noor Mazhar @ Aslam was nabbed near Nehru Place, New Delhi where he had come to meet one of his gang members. He was arrested under appropriate sections of law. He disclosed names of his associates who were part of this gang. On 12.04.2019, Mahender was apprehended near Okhlamandi.
Interrogation
Both the arrested persons told that they have been running this gang for more than one year. Apart from the duo, there are3 other active members of their gang, which is headed by one person, who has now been identified as Jahangir resident of Jamia Nagar. They had taken a house on rent in Zakir Nagar. They havd fitted secret camera in set top box of TV to film the gullible victims. They identify wealthy persons including businessmen, showroom owners, hoteliers, property dealers etc. as their targets. One of the gang memberswas tasked to identify the targets. Thereafter, their woman associate met the said targets on some excuse and developed intimacy with them. After some days of association, she used to invitethe said victim in her house and record videos of him with her. Thereafter, Noor Mazhar @ Aslam and Mahender send video to the victim and demand big extortion money from him and threatening that they would viral the video if he did not pay money or made complaint topolice. Their modus operandi was to ask the victim to leave his debit card on a selected spot in a public place such as public washroom and later on retrieve the same and withdraw the money 2/3 days later in many transactions from ATMs at distant locations.Arrested duo has disclosed that they have filmed more than 7/8 such gullible persons in South Delhi and they have extorted money from them. Apart from the doctor, other victims of this gang include, two property dealers, a hotelier, an architect, a builder, a travel agent,two A.C. showroom ownersanda bakery shop owner from Delhi.
It has also been revealed that the woman member of this gang is also carrying a reward of Rs. 20,000/- on information leading to her arrest in the same case registered at P.S. Jamia Nagar in the year 2018 in which Noor Mazhar @ Aslam is carrying a reward. Further interrogation of arrested persons is going on. Efforts to identify remaining members of this gang are being made.
Profile of accused:
- Noor Mazhar @ Aslam: He was born in 1981 at his native village Nehtour, District Bijnour (UP). He is a school dropout. He is married and has two sons. He came to Delhi in the area of Zakir Nagar about 17 years back and started working as a salesman in a garment’s shop in South Delhi. Jahangir is a distant relative of Noor Majhar. Noor Mazhar @ Aslam was impressed by rich lifestyle of Jahangir @ Shekhu and he requested him to help him in earning fast money. Jahangir who was running this gang allured Noor Mazhar @ Aslam to work with him.
- Mahender : He was born in Delhi in 1985. He has studied upto 12th His father works as private plumber. Mahender is unmarried. He used to work with a local property dealer in the area of SukhdevVihar. Mahender met Noor Mazhar @ Aslam about two years ago and developed friendship with him. Mahender was allured by Noor Mazhar to work with him in their gang for honey trapping the wealthy persons for extorting money by preparing their sex videos with the help of their woman accomplice.
Further investigation is in process.
