A team of police officials of Special Staff of Dwarka District led by Insp. Naveen Kumar and comprising of SI Ranjeev Tyagi, ASI Hans, HC Raj Kumar, HC Anil, Ct Raj Kumar & Ct Manoj, under the close supervision of ACP Joginder Joon, arrested two desperate auto-lifters who are involved in series of auto-thefts.
TEAM OPERATION
Taking note of vehicle thefts, Special Staff/Dwarka District had been striving for arresting the auto-thieves active in the area. A dedicated team had been pursuing the criminals to bring them into clutches of the law and informers were also deployed for efficient results through manual surveillance. On 06.03.2020, the team got information that two criminals/auto-lifters involved in several vehicle thefts are roaming in JJ Colony Sec-3 Matiyala Dwarka. The team swung into action to develop the information and laid a trap near Fish Market, Dust Park, JJ Colony, Matiyala. Two suspects were spotted on a black Bajaj Dominor motorcycle without number plate at about 06:30 PM. Both suspects were stopped on the basis of suspicion and interrogated.
The motorcycle was verified on the basis of its Engine No. and Chasis No. and it was found stolen vide E-FIR- 006157/20 dtd 21.02.20 u/s 379 IPC PS Bindapur. Both confessed that they have stolen the motorcycle. A sustained interrogation led to recovery of seven more Motorcycles/Scooties on the instance of accused persons. Hence both accused were arrested vide DD No. 15 U/S 41.1(d) CrPC dtd 06.03.2020 Special Staff/Dwarka. Total eight cases of auto-thefts have been worked out.
INTERROGATION
Accused Lalit @ Aniket is permanent resident of Bihar and works at a water plant while his father is a wielder. He is 9th pass and family reside in rented accommodation. He is always fond of parties to impress his girlfriend. Though he had been committing theft of motorcycle/scooty since many months but one good motorcycle was needed on Valentine day to go full speed with his girlfriend. But on last valentine Day he could not arrange a 'good' motorcycle for roaming with girlfriend. His girlfriend taunted for not having even a motorcycle. Feeling hurt, he decided to have several two wheelers. Hence he discussed it with his friend Saheed and both decided to steal two wheelers. They even collected vehicles previously stolen by them. But police got wind of their plan and busted it.
ARRESTED PERSONS:
1. Lalit Kumar @ Aniket S/O Vijay Kumar R/O Bhagwati Vihar, ND. Age- 20 Yrs.
2. Saheed S/O Mohd. Bashir R/O Nand Ram Park, Bindapur, ND. Age-22 Yrs.
RECOVERY:
– Four stolen motorcles
– Five stolen scooty
CASES WORKED OUT:
8 cases registered in PSs of Dwarka District and PS Ranhola and PS
Paschim Vihar have been solved.
