New Delhi, North District : Special Staff of North District have busted a gambling racket. 02 persons arrested and cash worth Rs. 10,500/-, 10 mobile phones, 01 laptop with charger, 01 calculator, 06 mobile charger, 02 pen, 01 extension board and 02 diaries, etc. were also recovered from their possession.
INCIDENT
On 06-06-2019, a secret information was received that a Satta is going on World Cup Cricket match between Australia & West Indies at Nehru Vihar, Timar Pur, Delhi was. Acting upon the information, a team comprising ASI Ajit Singh, HC Atul Suhag, Ct. Vineet Kumar and Ct. Ajay Kumar under the supervision of Inspr. Sunil Kumar, I/C Special Staff, North District and overall supervision of Shri Jitendra Patel, ACP/Ops/North District was constituted.
A successful raid was conducted at H. No. D-416, Nehru Vihar, Timar Pur, Delhi and 02 persons apprehended from there who were betting on the cricket Match of World Cup between Australia and West Indies. 01 Laptop with Charger, 10 mobile phones, 02 diaries, 01 Calculator, 06 mobile chargers, 02 pen, 01 extension board and cash worth Rs. 10,500/-were recovered. During enquiry, they were identified as Gurdeep Kapoor R/o Nehru Vihar, Timar Pur, Delhi, age-32 yrs and Harminder R/o Hardev Nagar, Burari, Delhi, age-30 yrs. Hence a case vide FIR No. 91/19 u/s 3/4/5/9/55 Delhi Public Gambling Act was registered at Police Station Timar Pur, Delhi and both the accused were arrested.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation, it was revealed that accused Gurdeep Kapoor by using software and mobile phones used to run this racket from his house. He used to take lines/information about rate of Satta from an associate of the kingpin of Dilshad Garden who collects betting amount from him.

2. Harminder R/o Hardev Nagar, Burari, Delhi, age-30 yrs. He studied up to 12th. He
is running studio from his house.
