A team of Special Cell/SR led by Insp. Shiv Kumar under the supervision of ACP Attar Singh has arrested a desperate member of Naveen Kasana gang namely Prabhjot Singh @ Sahib (age 26 years) s/o Tejender Singh r/o H. No. 17/10, Block 17, Geeta Colony, Delhi. Prabhjot Singh @ Sahib was wanted in a case of broad daylight robbery in the area of PS Jagatpuri and he was carrying a reward of Rs. 50,000/- from Delhi Police in this case.
INFORMATION & OPERATION :
There was an information with Inspr. Shiv Kumar that Prabhjot Singh @ Sahib who is member of notorious Naveen Kasana gang had made his hideout in Geeta Colony area. It was also known that Prabhjot Singh @ Sahib with associates was planning to commit a big dacoity of cash in Delhi. Said information was developed by deputing secret sources in the area and keeping discreet surveillance on his hideouts.
On 06.04.2019, Inspr.Shiv Kumar received a specific information that Prabhjot Singh @ Sahib would come near ISBT, Keshmeri Gate, Delhi to flee to Punjab by boarding a bus from ISBT. At about 4 PM, at the instance of informer, Prabhjot @ Sahib was nabbed. He has been booked under the relevant section of law.
INTERROGATION :-
Arrested accused Prabhjot disclosed that Naveen Kasana, a notorious robber was the mastermind of a sensational dacoity in the area of Jagat Puri. He further confessed that he along with Naveen Kasana, Shakeel, Ravinder @ Bablu, Anil @ Annu and other associates had hatched a criminal conspiracy to rob a businessman of Jagatpuri. On 17.09.2018, Umesh Bansal along with his employee Ram Sewak had collected cash from his business partners. Prabhjot along with his associates followed the duo from Shalimar Bagh to Jagarpuri on their bikes. When both stopped near their office in Old Arjun Nagar, Jagatpuri, Prabhjot and his associates surrounded and tried to rob them. When Umesh Bansal and Ram Sewak resisted, desperados opened the fire and injured Ram Sewak in his leg. Prabhjot Singh and his associates robbed Rs. 15 Lacs and fled from the spot on their motorcycles.
Prabhjot Singh has further disclosed that they had extended threats to the witnesses of the said dacoity for deterring them to depose against them. Another case of criminal intimidation bearing FIR No. 298/2018 u/s 195A/34 IPC was registered at PS Jagatpuri, Delhi in this regard. Members of Naveen Kasana gang including Prabhjot Singh have been involved in more than 100 cases of heinous nature including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, extortion, snatching, assault on police, criminal intimidation, arms act in Delhi-NCR and UP.
Prabhjot Singh @ Sahib along with his other co-accused in the above case absconded and evaded their arrest after another FIR of threatening of witnesses was lodged against them. Prabhjot Singh kept hiding himself in Phagwara in Punjab, Chandigarh and Mandsaur in MP during this period. He had come to Delhi on 06.04.2019 from Mandsaur and he was going to Punjab when he was arrested by Special Cell. Prabhjot Singh is also previously arrested in a sensational case of attempt to murder in the area of PS Geeta Colony, Delhi in the year 2014.

Prabhjot Singh @ Sahib was born in Delhi. He belongs to a middle class family and has studied upto 11th standard. After that, he joined the business of his father of renting cycle-rickshaws. He came in contact with bad elements of his area and started his criminal activities. He was first arrested in a case of attempt to murder in the year 2014 in PS Geeta Colony. Thereafter, he came in contact with Naveen Kasana through Shakeel. For last 5 years, Prabhjot Singh is associated with Naveen Kasana & Shakeel. Shakeel too has been recently arrested by the same team of Special Cell.
