New Delhi :The staff of Police Station Chandni Mahal, Central District has arrested one person namely Faizan aged 32 years s/o Sajid Hussain r/o Gali Akhade Wali, Suiwalan, Chandni Mahal, Delhi, who made a video of firing in the air with a pistol on 10.08.2019, on his 32nd birthday and uploaded it on Tik-Tok application which went on viral on social media. One country made pistol (used in offence) has been recovered from his possession.
INCIDENT
On the intervening night of 10-11 August 2019, a video went viral on different social media platforms in which a person is firing in the air with a weapon in his hand. The video was firstly uploaded on Tik-Tok and later on, the video went viral on different social media websites viz. whatsapp, facebook etc. and after watching/examining the video, the place of occurrence was found to be a public street in Suiwalan, Chandni Mahal.
TEAM AND OPERATION
Keeping in view of the festive atmosphere and high security alert for forthcoming Independence Day celebration, Inspector Binod Kumar Singh SHO/Chandni Mahal briefed and motivated all the staff of the police station to keep an eye on the crime and criminal of PS area. On the night of 10-11 August 2019, an information about a video of firing with arms in the air and uploading it on Tik-Tok in the area of Suiwalan, Chandni Mahal came into notice of SI Pushpender. Subsequently, team comprising of SI Pushpender, HC Dharmendra and Ct. Devender under the supervision of SHO/Chandni Mahal was deputed to inquire the matter and take legal action at once.
After thorough examination, it was found that the incident took place in Suiwalan, Chandni Mahal in the evening of 10.08.19 while one Faizan s/o Sajid Hussain r/o Suiwalan, Chandni Mahal was celebrating his 32nd birthday. After the shooting of video, he uploaded the video on TikTok and when the same got viral, he disappeared from his house and hid himself to evade his apprehension. Being a sensitive case, the police team immediately swung into action and secret informers were deployed. In this process, on tip of information from reliable source, Faizan was apprehended from Akhade Wali Gali near property number 1721. During his cursory search, a country made pistol was recovered from his possession, which was used in alleged firing for making the video. Subsequently the accused has been booked vide case FIR No. 128/19 u/s 336 IPC & 25, 27/54/59 Arms Act of PS Chandni Mahal.
INTERROGATION
Accused Faizan was subjected to sustained interrogation in which it was revealed that his father is a famous caterer and he is also engaged in the same business. He has studied up to 5th class. On the eve of his 32nd birthday on 10.08.19, he planned his birthday celebration in a different way and making it special. So, he took a country made pistol from a person of Chandni Mahal area and recorded the alleged video and further uploaded the same on Tik-Tok, to make himself famous on social-media/society. The place of incident has been confirmed by the accused and the firearm and mobile used for making/ uploading video have been seized.
Further investigation is under progress and efforts are being made to ascertain the source of illegal weapon.
RECOVERY
One country made pistol and one mobile phone used for making alleged Tik-Tok video and uploading on social media websites.
