New Delhi : A team was constituted comprising ASI Naresh, HC Naresh, HC Virender and Ct Hansraj, under the close supervision of SHO/Geeta Colony and over all supervision of ACP Gandhi Nagar to nab the criminals. The team members kept surveillance and developed local intelligence to intercept the criminals. After days of sustained efforts they were able to arrestaccused persons namely 1. Shoaib @ Khokar R/o KhurejiKhas, Jagat Puri, Delhi, Aged 26 Years, (2) Firoz R/o Rani Garden, Geeta Colony, Delhi, Aged 24 years ( Both are snatcher/Auto-Lifters) and (3) Usman R/o Rani Garden, Geeta Colony, Delhi, Aged-22 yrs (Receiver of property)and solved multiple cases of auto-lifting, snatching/theft ofmobile phones reported Shahdara District and Meerut District have been solved.
On regular basis verification of active criminals were going on and places were identified in PS Geeta Colony, where probability of getting snatchers was high. The above staff has zeroed down the places to Rani Garden, Aaram park and New Lahor Shastri Nagar. Further, on the basis of crime data analytics in evening, a trap was laid down by the team members nearby Rani Garden Cut, New Lahore Shastri Nagar. The team members noticed that two youths riding on a Activa scootytried to flee away after seeing the police party, but the team members chased and over-powered and apprehended them with swift action and presence of mind. On interrogation, their name was revealed as Shoaib @ Khokar R/o Khureji Khas, Jagat Puri, Delhi and Firoz R/o Rani Garden, Geeta Colony, Delhi and 02 stolen Mobile phones were recovered from their possession. Further the Activa scootyrecovered from their possession was found stolen from P.S Geeta Colony, Delhi.
INTERROGATION
During interrogation, Shoaib @ Khokar and Firoz s/o Atabul revealed that they used to identify places of snatching like flyovers, Pushta Road and open streets of Trans Yamuna. They also used to do recci in order to identify dark stretches and places without CCTV cameras. They wait for the target victim and as an when opportunity arises they do the crime. In order to hide their identities they used to do auto lifting in the area as far as wide as Meerut, UP. Further, in order to dispose mobile phones Sohaiband Firoz disclosed that they either sold them to receiver Usman or directly sell them to innocent Bakery workers at cheap rates. Firoz used to work in bakery and he act as a medium for transaction. Due to poor socio-economic conditions and low literacy the bakery workers used to purchase smart phones from such persons on believing their words. Some of the bakery workers even send the mobile phones to their relatives residing in Bihar and UP as a gifts. At the instance of Sohaib and Firoz, alleged receiver of stolen property Usmanwas also apprehended and 08 mobile phones were recovered from his possession. Further, 02 more stolen vehicles also recovered at the instance of accused Sohaiband Firoz, which were parked nearby Public Toilet, Rani Garden Geeta Colony.

PROFILE OF CRIMINALS
(1) Shoaib @ Khokar Khureji Khas, Jagat Puri, Delhi Age 26 Years has studied up to 11th standard and he has 03 previous criminal involvements of snatching and quarrel.
(2) Firoz s/o Atabul r/o Rani Garden, Geeta Colony, Delhi Age 24 years has studied up to 6th standard and he has 03 previous criminal involvements of Arms Act and theft.
(2) Usman s/o Mohd. Mohsim r/o B62, Gali No. 2, Rani Garden, Geeta Colony, Delhi, Age-22yrs has studied up to 9th standard.
Further investigation is on to establish their other involvements.
