New Delhi : The Special Staff of Central District has arrested a notorious drug peddler namely Manish Thakur aged 26 years r/o Distt. East Champaran, Bihar who used to traffic narcotics substances from Andhra Pradesh and further sold in Delhi. 15.3 Kg. Ganja has been recovered from his possession.
INFORMATION, TEAM & INVESTIGATION
On 06.08.19, secret information was received by SI Raj Kumar of Special Staff/ Central Distt. that one person involved in drug trafficking would come at Mahawat Khan Road, Delhi with huge quantity of Ganja. Acting upon this information, a team led by Inspr. Lalit Kumar, I/C Spl. Staff, consisting of SI Raj Kumar, SI Pradeep Kumar, ASI Baljit, ASI Yogender, HC Satbir, HC Vinod, HC Rakesh, HC Sunil & Ct. Vinod Kumar was formed under the supervision of Shri Naresh Kumar, ACP/Operation, Central District, Delhi.
The team immediately laid a trap at Mahawat Khan Road. At about 7:00
PM, one person was apprehended at the instance of informer and on his cursory search, two bags containing Narcotics substance was recovered. On verification, it was learnt to be Ganja and weighed about 15.3 Kg. His identity was disclosed as Manish Thakur r/o East Champaran, Bihar. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 189/19 u/s 20/61/85 NDPS act was registered at IP Estate and the accused was arrested.
INTERROGATION
He was subjected to sustained interrogation in which he disclosed that he was an auto driver in Bihar. About three months back, he shifted to Delhi and started trafficking illegal drugs from Andhra Pradesh to Delhi to earn easy money. He also disclosed that he is wanted in an attempt to murder case of PS GRP, Motihari Railway Station, Bihar in which he attempted to kill a Station Master of Motihari Railway Station along with his cousins in the month of July 2019. Two of his cousins were arrested but he was absconding.
Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to nab his source of supply of narcotics drugs.

He has studied upto 8th standard. Initially, he started working as an auto driver in Bihar. About 3-4 months back, he came in contact with drug peddlers and he shifted to Delhi. He started drug peddling from Andhra Pradesh.

नई दिल्ली : तमिलनाडु से दिल्ली में ड्रग्स सप्लाई का कारोबार चलाने वाला एक युवक गिरफ्तार । इसके पास से 15 किलो गांजा बरामद हुआ है । सेंट्रल दिल्ली के स्पेशल स्टाफ की टीम ने ड्रग्स सप्लाई करने वाले युवक को गिरफ्तार किया है । इस ड्रग्स सप्लायर का नाम मनीष ठाकुर है जो बिहार के मोतिहारी का रहने वाला है ।
मनीष ठाकुर ने दिल्ली के कई ठिकानों को अपना ड्रग्स बेचने का अड्डा बनाया हुआ था । स्पेशल स्टाफ में तैनात हवलदार सतवीर सिंह यादव लंबे समय से ड्रग्स माफियाओं की तलाश में लगा था । उसने अपने मुखबिरों को सक्रिय किया हुआ था । ऑपरेशन एसीपी नरेश यादव और इंस्पेक्टर ललित को लगातार इनपुट दिया जा रहा था । हवलदार सतवीर के साथ साथ सब इंस्पेक्टर राजकुमार, सब इंस्पेक्टर प्रदीप, एएसआई बलजीत, एएसआई योगेंद्र, हवलदार विनोद हवलदार राकेश, हवलदार संतोष, कांस्टेबल जमील खान, कांस्टेबल विनोद, कांस्टेबल सुनील को भी ड्रग्स बेचने वालों के पीछे लगाया गया था ।
पुलिस की कई दिनों की मशक्कत रंग लाई और मनीष ठाकुर की सूचना पुलिस को मिली । मनीष ठाकुर को पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर उसके पास से 15 किलो गांजा बरामद हुआ ।
मनीष ठाकुर पर एक स्टेशन मास्टर ओर जानलेवा हमला करने का भी मुकदमा दर्ज है । 18 जुलाई को मेहशी रेलवे स्टेशन मास्टर को मारकर फरार हो गया था । इसलिए मनीष ठाकुर की बिहार पुलिस को भी तलाश थी ।
