New Delhi : A team of Special Cell/SR led by Inspr. Shiv Kumar under the supervision of ACP Attar Singh has arrested a dreaded gangster of NCR namely Ravinder Badwasni (age 45 years), (brother of infamous gangster Sandeep Badwasni) s/o Late Hawa Singh r/o Village Badwasni, Distt. Sonipat, Haryana on 06.06.2019 from Sector 2, RK Puram, Delhi. Ravinder Badwasni was absconding for the last 1½ years after committing a sensational murder case of Satywan Malik in Rohtak Haryana. Deceased Satyawan Malik was an advocate turned gangster of Haryana. Ravinder Badwasni was carrying a reward of Rs. 50,000/- from Haryana Police in the said murder case. A semi automatic pistol of .32 alongwith 6 live cartridges was recovered from the possession of Ravinder Badwasni at the time of his arrest. He has been arrested under relevant sections of law of Arms Act.
INFORMATION AND OPERATION
Special Cell was having an information that Ravinder Badwasni was frequenting in Delhi, Gurgaon and other adjoining NCR regions and he was planning to kill a rival gangster. A team led by Inspr. Shiv Kumar was deployed to develop the information. Painstaking efforts of more than two months resulted in identifying hideouts of the illusive criminal Ravinder Badwasni in Delhi and Gurgaon.
A specific information was received on 06/06/2019 that Ravinder Badwasni would come near the market of Sector 2, RK Puram, Delhi to meet one of his associates. On this information, a team was deployed in the said market in RK Puram, Delhi. One Bolero car having temporary registration number arrived at 4 PM. Informer identified the occupant of the car as Ravinder Badwasni. After a couple of minutes, he sensed the presence of police and tried to escape, but was nabbed by the police team. One semi automatic .32 pistol alongwith 6 live cartridges and a Bolero car was recovered from his possession.
INTERROGATION
Arrested Ravinder Badwasni is the brother of dreaded gangster Sandeep Badwasni who alongwith two of his associates was killed on 11/02/2017 by Ramkaran, Vicky Chitania, Vijay Farmana and Satyawan Malik, all members of a rival gang headed by Ramkaran, Sandeep Badwasni was a dreaded gangster of, Haryana. He was involved in more than 20 cases of murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, robbery, kidnapping, arms act, criminal intimidation etc in Delhi and Haryana. Sandeep Badwasni
was having links with many dreaded gangsters of Delhi and Haryana like Sandeep Chitania, Neetu Dabodia, Anil @ Leela etc. Ravinder Badwasni, after the murder of his brother Sandeep Badwasni, purchased sophisticated weapons to take revenge by killing Satyawan Malik who had orchestrated the murder of Sandeep.
Ravinder Badwasni alongwith his associates killed rival gangster Satywan Malik in Rohtak, Haryana by indiscriminate firing. After this murder, Ravinder Badwasni went underground and has been absconding since then. He was residing in a posh colony of Gurgaon for the last 6 months and was trying to regroup his gang to kill other members of his rival gangs. Accused Ravinder Badwasni is in police custody remand and further investigation is continued to trace other gang members.
