New Delhi : A meeting was held by Spl. CP L&O (N), of all the stakeholders in view of security arrangement related to Independence Day Celebrations. The meeting was attended by Jt. CP/Central Range, DCP/Central District, DCP/North District, ACsP & SHOs of Central & North District and around 450 members of RWAs/MWAs/Civil Defense and members enrolled under Delhi Police Prahari/ Eyes and Ears and Traffic Sentinel Scheme.
The members as force multiplier were appreciated for their active and positive role as force multiplier. Emphasis was given on them providing assistance to Delhi Police in maintaining peace and security in the area. On every occasion be it festivals like Holi, Dussehra, Eid, Christmas or Guru Parv and important occasions like Independence Day and Republic Day or in day to day Crime detection and prevention, they have always been available and useful when required.
They were especially briefed about the Do’s which are required to be followed, especially for the forthcoming Independence Day.
Their assistance is sought in active Tenant/Servant Verification. Though Delhi Police does door to door verification, they are told to inform if any new person arrives in their area. They are told to get their servants and helpers verified.
Further in vehicle checking also they are urged to cooperate and tell their members to cooperate as well.
Market checking is actively going on with Bomb disposal staff. They are requested to assist in those things.
The idea behind all these checks is to ensure security of the citizens and safety of the place. Thus, all are requested to participate in their safety and securety.
