• BOTH ACCUSED CAME TO INDIA ON BUSINESS VISA AND THEREAFTER STAYING ILLEGALLY.

• FEMALE ASSOCIATES OF ACCUSED PERSONS BELONGING TO NORTH-EAST REGION OF INDIA HELPED THEM IN BRINGING HEROIN FROM AFGANISTAN.

 

A team of Narcotics Cell Crime Branch Delhi led by Inspr Brijpal Singh comprising of ASI Ramdev, ASI Sanjay Tyagi, HC Ravinder Khokhar, Ct. Pawan, Ct Pankaj under close supervision of Sh. R.K. Ojha ACP/narcotics has busted an interstate gang of Nigerian National drug traffickers involved in supply of heroin in Delhi & Punjab. Two Nigerian nationals have been arrested in this regard. The arrested persons are: –

 

1. Lucky Joseph @ Joe Lala R/O Lagos Nigeria Age 36 Yrs
2. Charles R/O Lagos, Nigeria Ge 31 Yrs.

 

The gang used to supply heroin in Delhi and Punjab after procuring it from Afghanistan through their female associates belonging to North-eastern state of India.

 

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION RELATED TO CASE

 

Secret information was received that a Nigerian National namely Joe Lala and his associate Charles are involved in supply of heroin in Delhi & Punjab. It was learnt that he would come to supply a big consignment of heroin at Uttam Nagar, Delhi. A trap was laid and on 28.4.19 morning, Lucky Joseph @ Joe Lala was apprehended in near Bhagwati Garden Extension Uttam Nagar, Delhi. 500 grams of Heroin was recovered from his possession. At his instance raid was conducted at their house in Bhagwati Garden Extension Uttam Nagar, Delhi and Charles @ Sunny was apprehended. 3 Kgs of heroin was recovered from Charles. A case u/s 21/25/29NDPS Act, PS Crime Branch was registered against both accused persons.

 

During interrogation both accused disclosed that they procured heroin from a fellow national. They also disclosed that their associate used to procure heroin from Afghanistan through his female associates belonging to a North-Eastern state of India.

 

PROFILE:-

 

1. Lucky Joseph @ Joe Lala r/o Lagos Nigeria Age 36 arrived in India in 2013. He has stayed back in India even after his business visa expired a year later. He met a North Eastern girl and used her as a carrier to bring heroin from Afghanistan. Thereafter, he married her. His wife left him about a year ago and lives somewhere in Noida. Efforts are being made to locate her.

 

2. Charles @ Sunny r/o Lagos, Nigeria Age 31 Yrs also arrived in India on a business visa about 3 years ago. He has been staying illegally in India even after his visa has expired about a year ago. He is unmarried. He lives in a rented accommodation at house in Bhagwati Garden Extension, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, which was also being used for stashing heroin.

 

Efforts are being made to trace their associates in this case. All the persons involved in the long supply chain of heroin from Afghanistan to the end users in India will be unearthed.
