Today the staff of PS Seelampur was present neae police booth Dharampura. They received an information that a Tata 407, Tempo No. HR-38V-0538 would be coming from ISBT side and would be going towards Apsara border, UP. The team started checking such vehicles. In the meantime, they saw the above Tempo and stopped it. The driver was overpowered. His name and address was later on verified as Suresh@Suru s/o Gopi Chand r/o Village Anangpur, PS Surajkund, Faridabad, Haryana aged 28 years.
The vehicle was checked and it was found carrying illicit liquor. Total 190 Cartons (9120 quarters make Impact, for sale in Haryana only) were recovered. Hence a case vide FIR No. 184/19 dated 16.05.2019 u/s 33/58 Delhi Excise Act was registered at P.S. Seelampur against accused Surrsh and he was arrested accordingly. Further investigation is in progress.
